Be'same
Be’same is a latin tapas restaurant. This was a great place to dine with my new friend. Our visit was a late night eat, after a full day or exploring New Orleans and for me, was worth the wait. I have to admit, I know that pork is not considered the healthiest meat; however, it’s still one of my favorites. There were several interesting options and I decided on Cochinita

Willa Jean
Well you know, a girl’s gotta brunch! You know when there is a line, it must be good. And…I visited Willa Jean twice. Once for brunch and also my last travel day, where I purchased a cappuccino and a pastry to-go. Brunch favorites there included:
Hangover bowl
short rib + cheesy grits + onion + garlic + potatoes + egg
Avocado toast
And because I am such a foodie, I had to also show you my friend’s breakfast. Not your usual Avocado Toast
fresh cheese + tomato + pickle serrano + shallot + arugula + sunflower everything spice+poached egg

Mulate's
I was invited to dinner with new friends I met through a women’s travel community called Wanderful. Upon entering Mulate’s, it was a busy place with adequate seating and bar areas. It was a very busy Friday night not to mention live music.

Bread Pudding
famous bread pudding with rum sauce
Mulate’s did not disappoint with “Famous bread pudding with Rum sauce“. If you are counting calories — it’s okay, this is certainly a reason to splurge and treat yourself. And if you aren’t able to travel to New Orleans and want to try it, check out the link below for the recipe:
